Airport Shuttle
All participants are responsible for their own transportation.
Transportation between the airports and resort has not been pre-arranged. Please refer to the following options to determine which shuttle service best accommodates your flight arrangements.
Super Shuttle Transportation
Super Shuttle provides transportation to and from the Miami International Airport only. It does not operate within the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport (refer to alternate shuttles listed below). Once you have claimed your luggage, look for the Super Shuttle Transportation booths at either end of the baggage claim area. The booths are located directly outside of each major airline baggage claim area. The shuttle may stop at other locations to drop off or pick up passengers en route to the resort. Payment will be made directly to the driver. A gratuity of 18% is recommended and is not included in the rates below.
If you fly into the Miami International Airport (MIA):

Departure information back to Miami:
If you use Super Shuttle Transportation, it is recommended that after you check into your guest room, you call to arrange your return trip back to the airport. It is your responsibility to call at least 24 hours in advance to arrange a pick-up time. Please have your return airline tickets available when you call as a Super Shuttle agent will give you a pick up time once they receive your flight information. The local departure reservation number is 305-871-2000.
Go Airport Shuttle (also known as Airport Express)
Go Airport Shuttle is available for service between the Fort Lauderdale/ Hollywood International Airport and The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa. It does not operate between the Miami International Airport and the resort (refer to alternate shuttles). Once you have claimed your luggage, look for the Go Airport Shuttle booth outside of the baggage claim area. There should be no more than a 30 minute wait after you have checked in with the representative. However, the shuttle may stop at other locations to drop off or pick up passengers en route to the resort. There are two transportation services available: Share Rides or Sedans. Payment will be made directly to the driver. A gratuity of 18% is recommended and is not included in the rates below.

If you use Go Airport Shuttle, it is recommended that after you check into your guest room, you call to arrange your return trip back to the airport. Taxi Cabs
Taxi cabs are also available at both airports. The approximate cost from the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport to The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa is $25/one-way. The approximate cost from the Miami International Airport to The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa is $45/one-way.

Conference Confirmation
You will receive an immediate email confirmation when you have successfully completed your online registration. You will also receive a confirmation of your Discovery Conference registration in the mail within 2-4 weeks of registering. If you have not received your confirmation packet within four weeks of submitting your registration form, please send an email to cunamutual@attendeenet.com or call 877-447-5174.
Guest Policy

Conference Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your conference registration, we must receive your cancellation in writing. Please refer to the 2008 Discovery Conference when sending your cancellation notice - you may either fax your cancellation request to 877-639-1754 or e-mail it to cunamutual@attendeenet.com. If it is necessary to cancel your Discovery registration after payment has been received, a $75.00 processing fee will be deducted from your refund. No refunds will be available after June 4th.
CUNA Mutual Group is not responsible for hotel cancellations.

Hotel Reservations

After you've submitted your online Discovery registration, you will receive an immediate on-screen confirmation and an email confirmation both containing a hotel reservation link that allows you to reserve your guestroom electronically. This is the only way in which to reserve your guestroom for the conference - the hotel will not be taking reservations in our group block via phone or fax.
Once you have completed your hotel reservation, you will receive an immediate confirmation number - please note dates carefully to be sure they are correct.
Make your reservation early to secure the group rate of $195 per night plus 11% tax for single or double occupancy. This rate includes access to the Resort health club, complimentary in-room coffee and shuttle service between the Country Club and the Resort. A credit card will be needed to guarantee your reservation. The resort fee of $16.00 per day has been waived for Discovery participants that reserve guestrooms within the conference block.
If you fail to check in on your scheduled arrival date, you will forfeit one night's room and tax charge and your reservation will be cancelled.
New for 2008, upgrade to a Suite! There are a limited number of Corner Suites and Diplomat Suites available for attendees to upgrade to.
At a rate of $485++/night, the Corner Suites offer a stunning wrap around suite with both unbelievable ocean and Intracoastal views. Suites include spacious and comfortable conversation areas, small dining area and features a king size Heavenly Bed.
At a rate of $405++/night, upgrade to a Diplomat Suite for oversized accommodations with a comfortable conversation area and small dining room table. The Diplomat Suites also includes a king size Heavenly Bed.
The number of suites is limited and is based on availability by using the online hotel reservation site.

Hotel Changes
If you need to change your guestroom reservation, please refer to your confirmation number and indicate that the reservation was for the 2008 Discovery Conference. This will assist the agent with your request (954-602-6000 is the number to call for changes/cancellations only).
Hotel Cancellation
You are responsible for cancelling your hotel reservation. The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa requires a 72-hour cancellation notice - all reservations cancelled within 72 hours of arrival will incur a one-night room & tax charge. Please be sure to obtain a cancellation number directly from the hotel and keep for your records. If there is no record of your guestroom cancellation, you will forfeit one night's room and tax charge.

Hotel Tax Exemption
If your credit union is federally chartered and you want to apply for tax exemption for your guest room while attending the Discovery Conference, please read the attached instructions carefully, complete the form and send to:

Your application cannot be processed without supporting documentation, so remembering to include it will help expedite the approval process. This process can take anywhere from two weeks to three months, so get your form in early.
Once your DR-5 form has been approved for tax exemption by the state of Florida, you will be mailed a DR-14 Consumer Certificate. You must bring this certificate with you and present to the front desk upon check in. The hotel can not offer you tax exemption status unless they have the DR-14 form on file.
Your hotel room must be paid for using a credit union-issued credit card, or a credit union sharedraft/check. In either case, the form of payment must bear the name of the credit union and not the name of the individual.
